    • Summit 2021 Evolves

Due to the ongoing uncertainties induced by Australia’s management of the Covid-19 pandemic, the busier calendar in 2021 due to many events and fora that would have been held in 2020 being pushed into this year, and the related phenomena of ‘online’ fatigue in relation to holding lengthy conferences virtually - the National Treaties Summit organising partners have made the decision to cancel the physical gathering of a National Treaties Summit for at least 2 years and won’t proceed with a virtual conference at this point.

However, following the success of our Treaty Webinar series in 2020 we will keep the conversation going with a new expanded rolling program of online events.

      We will:

      • Produce a 24-month program of quarterly online Treaty events that will cover the key topics originally intended for the Summit. The events will highlight the status of treaty nationally and align with State and Territory elections and First Nations annual calendar moments like National Reconciliation and NAIDOC weeks; and
      • Transform the National Treaties Summit website into a go to hub for Treaty related resources.

The program will be out soon and our first event of the new series is coming up at the end of March, so stay tuned for further details.

Please stay connected here and our socials, and don’t hesitate to get in contact.

      Information for current ticket holders

Regarding your registration for the National Treaties Summit, we of course are ready to process a complete refund of your registration fees. Refunds will automatically take place on 31 March 2021. However, if you would like to receive it earlier please let us know how you wish to proceed by completing this form on ANTaR's website, with your registration booking name and booking reference. ANTaR is managing the refund process for the Summit, and you can contact us by email about your registration at campaigns@antar.org.au.

Contribute/Donate to the rolling National Treaties Summit program - as there are still substantial costs to host the program of Treaty online events and the Treaty Hub website, we are also asking people to consider donating their registration fee, in whole or part, towards this work. If this is something you would like to do, there will be options on the refund page.

We have also emailed instructions to all ticket buyers but if you have further questions please contact campaigns@antar.org.au

      Treaty - Yothu Yindi

    • WHAT IS THE NATIONAL TREATIES SUMMIT?

A national dialogue about the importance of agreement-making, a chance to compare and share experiences from the Australian jurisdictions, to explore international experience and to contribute to the momentum of treaty and agreement-making across Australia. Held over three days in April 2020 participants will hear from key leaders from across Australia.

In 2020, we have an opportunity to help Australia take a significant stride towards reconciliation by elevating the discussion and focus on agreement making and treaty across the continent.
